Implement Reassessment Appraisals
After validation, implement reassessment appraisals to parcels in bulk using this process.
When a reassessment appraisal is implemented, it becomes the latest appraisal version, its Status is updated to Active, the Effective Tax Year is updated to the implemented tax year, the Final Tax Year is updated to the year of the previous appraisal, and the new appraisal version values are applied.
Prerequisites
Implement Reassessment Appraisals permission is required to run this process.

-
If a Pending Mass Appraisal Year does not exist, a warning modal displays to prompt you to add a Pending Mass Appraisal Year to proceed.
-
-
On the Implement Reassessment Appraisals Log panel, select Refresh.
When the Implement Reassessment Appraisals process is completed:
-
All parcel classes are updated.
For each parcel that exists (Active or Inactive status only) for the inputted Tax Year that is Open and Version 1 on each class/appraisal on the parcels:
-
Current Taxable Values are copied to the Prior Reassessment Values columns.
-
All Reassessment value data is copied to Current Value columns.
-
If there is a linked appraisal on the class:
-
The Reassessment Appraisal is updated to become the next appraisal version.
-
The Reassessment Appraisal (latest version) replaces the Appraisal linked on the parcel/class, and the reassessment flag is removed.
-
-
If you selected the Add Reassessment Notice Print Request When Appraisal Increase Exceeds checkbox:
-
A pending print reassessment notice request is added on the parcel, if the total aggregated value change exceeds the inputted value
Example: If the total value changed (higher or lower) by 1300, and the user's input for the amount was 1000, then the parcel would get a pending reassessment notice.
Important: If a pending request already exists, do not create a duplicate request. -
The current date/time is used for the date/time stamp.
-
-
-
Any linked and unlinked appraisals with reassessment appraisals are updated to become the latest version of the appraisal.
This will create a Pending Appraisal Update.
-
The Effective Tax Year on a Reassessment is updated to the inputted Tax Year after it becomes the latest appraisal version.
All other appraisal versions are updated with a null Final Tax Year.
-
The Mass Appraisal Year is updated.
